A DX operation is a reporting allowing users, member or not, to know that an operator is currently listening (or calling) on the frequency and want to make a contact.

Does Cluster446 assign callsigns ?

No : The Cluster446 doesn't assign callsigns.

Does Cluster446 assign DMR ID ?

No : The Cluster446 doesn't assign DMR ID.
PMR446/DMR446/dPMR446 are free band, no registrar exists and can not claim to be official.

Does the Cluster446 give access to a VoIP server?

No : Cluster446 does not manage or provide access to any VoIP server same like Mumble, Skype, Teamspeak, Zello, Free Radio Network, SVXlink ...

What is the PMR446 legislation ?

Frequencies : The PMR446 band extends from 446.0 MHz to 446.2 MHz.
Equipment : Only handled radios with 500 mW output power and non-removable antenna are allowed. Repeaters and home station aren't allowed.
Modes : Only FM, dPMR and DMR modes are allowed.

Is the Cluster446 is connected with others DX Clusters ?

Yes : Since 25 august 2019, the Cluster446 is connected with CB.CRX.CLOUD.

Is it possible to spot a contact on another band ?

No : The Cluster446 only cover analog and digital PMR446 bands.

What's the cost of Cluster446 ?

Web hosting and domain name costs to about 40 euros per year.

Are Cluster446 goodies available ?

No : There are no Cluster446 goodies but it's possible that it changes ;-).

Why the Android app is not maintained ?

The Android app wasn't maintained because the new website version is compatible with all terminals (smartphones, tablets, computers).

Since when does Cluster446 exist ?

The Cluster446 went online in October 2013.

Cluster446 source code is available ?

No : the Cluster446 source code isn't open.

How to become partners ?

All partners requests must be written from the Support page available once your are logged to your account.
Only requests with website, blog or forum with radio subject will be accepted.

The Cluster446 architecture is schematized as well :

• Spots, operations and repeaters data are made available on the API.
